Turned Browsec on, tried visiting a geo-restricted website, but it still says you're out of the required country?
Clear browsing data
If you have visited the website before with VPN off, the restriction can stay in your browsing data - cookies & cache stored in your browser. Here is how you can clear the cookies. To clear the cache in most browsers, hit Ctrl+R or Ctrl+F5.
If you hesitate to clear the cookies, you can just visit the website in Incognito (or Private) mode, which uses no cache or cookies at all. Just make sure to enable Browsec in this mode.
Entering Incognito/Private mode in major browsers:
Google Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
Opera: Ctrl+Shift+N
Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+Shift+N
Use Premium
Some websites, especially TV streaming ones, are very good at detecting and blocking VPN IPs. We keep up with that, replacing such IPs in our Premium pools. That's why our Premium users have better chances to watch their favorite TV programs.
If you already have Browsec Premium, please check if Browsec shows the word 'Premium':
If not, sign out and back in, and Browsec will re-check your status.
Set Browsec to change timezone
If your browser's timezone differs from your IP, this may be a sign of using VPN for some sites. Here's what you need to do:
Stop the website from getting your location from your browser
Use the right coast
Some US-based online shops and other websites are available for the West Coast only. That's why we made a separate location for Premium users - United States West. Worth trying!
